finally, after nearly 4 long months of waiting the day had finally come. we were going to see coldplay live. we travelled down from coventry and arrived at the stadium to find very relaxed and chilled atomosphere. every one was up for tonight and we went and bought ice creams. we managed to get quite close considering we'd come in over an hour since the gates opened.
morning runner were the first support, they were not bad, but to be fair tey got the biggest cheer when they mentioned coldplays name.
after a half hour wait in which i wasted ?5 on a crap progamme supergrass came on and got everyone moving performing moving, pumping on your stereo, caught by the fuzz as well as some new ones.
now thought was the moment everyone had come for. after a long hour of wrestling for space in the 40,000 strong crowd a make trade fair video was shpwn, then after a further 10 minuntes in which the dj woudlnt shut up and leave, coldplay finally appeared and exploded into square one, politik followed, we went crazy, jumping and screaming as much as we could. 3rd in was yellow which was awesome, some one crowd surfed only they get getting dropped which was funny. the weather couldnt have been better and slowly it got darker and all the hits came out, everyone sung along, it was a really amazing night. the highlights (even though all of it was the highltight) had to clocks (although no green laser), in my place and fix you which is just unbelievable with fireworks and the lighting. it was so weird to actually see them in the flesh and they gave it everything they had, chris even joked about how band aid was there only number one if it wasnt for the frog. they are simply the worlds greatest band, go and see them live it will blow you away....
